For someone who have chooses to become a law enforcement officer he or she must understand the importance of having moral ethics standards to do the job effectively and professionally. Police officers happen to be held by the public to a higher standard of morality and are also expected to always be above reproach. Sadly, we see in the information all to often cops that have displayed unethical conduct both on the job and in their private lives. When an officer commits an improper act of some kind it effects the entire police force profession, in some instances it causes it to be hard intended for other officials to do all their job with no ridicule. Sadly, the public will not differentiate among officers, departments, or outfits when a scandalous act happens. The purpose for everyone pursuing a law enforcement profession to study ethics is essential to keep the ethics and the trust of the community.
